Collage Winners

Apologies for the lateness of this post the scheduler did not do it's job and neither did I or it would have been spotted sooner.   Better late than never here are Esther's winner's.

Wow thank you so much for the wonderful entries to our last challenge. I loved that there were so many different interpretations of Collage and it was really tricky to choose my favourates - but I had to narrow it down so here they are -

5. Viv - Such beautiful vintage details

6. House of Bears - loved the bright hot colours and images, I'm going on my hols this weekend and this got me in the mood !

7. Valerie-Jael - A wonderful textured background with a hint of sparkle

I can count over 7 - the numbers are purely coincidental !

Zoe has run the random thingy to choose the winner who this week is -  18 Glennis

Congratulations, drop Zoe an email to let her know your details so she can send you your prize.

Thanks again and I don't forget you still have a week to enter our current challenge  -Childhood Memories.

Childhood Memories

We all loved your collage's there was some amazing art, Esther has been having a great time visiting you all trying to decide on her top 3!

For our challenge this time we are sponsored by Tando Creative.

To make the most of your chances of winning please check our rules as we do check your blogs.

Maria is your hostess this fortnight -

Hi, this time round I've chosen the theme of "Childhood Memories" as, quite a few times, I've bought a stamp because it reminded me of a time or event from my childhood, or used an old photograph, and made or altered something which has turned out to be quite special.  So for this fortnight's theme,

I'd love to see (and hear!) what your Childhood Memories inspire you to create, be it a card, layout, altered item, in fact anything you wish, using rubber stamps, photos, etc, but

"No Digi Stamps

please for this fortnight's theme.

Have fun, and I hope you enjoy casting your mind back to your Childhood Memories!

You can share your Childhood memories below and or on our facebook group.  To share the team's childhood memories behind their inspiring samples please visit their blogs.

We saw some fabulous charms and pins over the last fortnight, thank you to everyone who entered. Nikki has the challenge this time of selecting just 3 top entries and we will be back next Tuesday to tell you who they are.

Time for our next challenge we are again joined by  Indigo blu  who are offering the winner of the random draw another fantastic prize, flitter glue.

To make the most of your chances of winning please check  our rules  as we do check your blogs.

Esther is your hostess this fortnight:-

Hi, I thought I'd try something different and choose a theme which was a bit out of my comfort zone to challenge myself, so I've picked 'Collage'. The Oxford dictionary defines Collage as -

'A piece of art made by sticking various materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric on to a backing'

The word itself is from early 20th century and French in origin literally meaning 'gluing'. I think some of the team found it a tricky one too (sorry girls) but they came up with some beautiful  pieces so I hope you are inspired to have a go. What I loved about making my collage is that there are really no rules..I just had fun sticking stuff together...

Using Stamp from Indigo Blu 'Pomp and Pageantry' set

Using stamps from Indigo Blu "Sewing Mends The Soul" set & Harlequin

Using Indigo Blu "Take the Time" stamp plate

using Indigo Blu stampset Wild Meadow

using Indigo Blu stampset Grand Tour I

You can share your Collage themed project below and or on our facebook group.

Apologies somehow this post became corrupted and could not be recovered.   We are preserving this to preserve your comments and hope this hiccup will not effect your entries.

Our Rules

We are refreshing things just a little and have some updates/revisions to the rules. Please read these and be sure your entry qualifies.

1 You must check the challenge details and comply with all the specifications. i.e. Tell us what about xxxx inspired you means we expect to see some information relating your project to our challenge on your post.

2 Token elements are insufficient if our challenge is for example "Wings" that tiny little flying thing in the bottom left background is not qualifying element.

3 Entries that are really promoting products and or other challenges are no longer allowed.

With these 3 rules we are looking to see that your entry is really a response to the challenge. We work hard on our team inspiration pieces, we have a system in place to make sure we will comment on all the entries we can and this team often comment on more than the those required by our system. All we ask is that you join in with the spirit of our challenge. Inherent is this is the requirement that your project be new and not a back line to an older project.

We are not going to spend a lot of time policing this, entries that do not qualify will simply be ignored by the team.

4 You may not enter more than 5 other challenges besides ours that is a total of 6 challenges entered.

5 You may not enter this challenge more than 3 times per theme.

6 Winner and Top 3 will be selected by team vote

7 While we try to comment on all entries some of us have a problem with WordPress and have found that we cannot always successfully comment on these.

7a We are also cautious about having to fill in a questionnaire before we can comment. We might not take the time if we have a lot to get through.

7b please turn off word verification

8 Our decision is final in all considerations of compliance with these rules.

9 Prizes are offer depending on availability, we are dependant on our very generous sponsors and from time to time we will provided the prize ourselves.

10 Please remember to add a link from your post to our challenge site here.

The purpose of this update is to encourage our followers who regularly join in with some fabulous work that is inspired by the challenge and who take the time to share it. We do not care what your style/standard is we just want to see you grow as artists and perhaps play a part in your journey.
